Visiting other lodges is a well established way of masons gaining friendship and knowledge for any EA in Sussex.

 

This week EA Bro Allan Bishop was taken with Bro Neil Watts from Meeching Lodge 7001 some 550 miles to a lodge meeting of Ayr St Paul 204 in the province of Ayshire, Scotland. They were heartedly welcomed by right worshipful master bro Robert O Neil and treated as guests of honour. Bro Allan was sadly asked to remain within hailing distance, and Bro Neil witnessed a very special raising in the Scottish rite. "All I can say is this is very different to the way we do things in Sussex"! After both were very well looked after with generous nips of fine Scotch whiskey and scotch pie! Bro Allan said that "the experience was one he will always remember. I recommend visiting a Scottish lodge for a wonderful experience".
